Welcome back to our blog and welcome to a new post about our #26weekreadingchallenge!
Because of the festivities of Easter, we got to stay at home and have a long weekend!
This time we are reviewing “Dark Matter” by Blake Crouch.
The challenge was to read a book which has a beautiful cover. We know that maybe there are a lot of books that have a more beautiful cover than this one, but we thought to choose a little different this time and as we were reading it, the cover of the book has a significant meaning after all.
“Dark Matter” was on our TBR list for too long, so we thought that this was the perfect occasion to finally spend the time to read it.
It speaks about Jason Dessen who awakens to find himself in a world where his wife is not his wife, his son was never born and he is not an ordinary college physics professor, but a celebrated genius who has achieved something remarkable.
His struggle to make it back to the family he loves and to the world he belongs will force Jason Dessen to a journey more wondrous and horrifying than anything he could have imagined.

★★★★ and a half!
This was me reading this book! It is the kinda book that just when you think you got where the book is taking you and what’s going on, well it is not.
It was so emotionally engaging! I felt all the type of emotion that Jason Dessen felt, the horror and the fear that he would never make it back to the family he loves.
This book was the perfect mix of suspense, action, sci-fi, romance and most of all CRAZINESS!
If you didn’t get it, I loved it!!! If I have to describe insanity, I would say “Dark Matter” by Blake Crouch.
This is my favorite quote from the book:
No one tells you it’s all about to change, to be taken away. There’s no proximity alert, no indication that you’re standing on the precipice. And maybe that’s what makes tragedy so tragic. Not just what happens, but how it happens: a sucker punch that comes at you out of nowhere, when you’re least expecting it. No time to flinch or brace.

What had just happened?!
I started to question all my decisions in life! Omg! This book is making me crazy!
Just so you can understand, I was totally not in the mood for reading, but I didn’t want to lose the challenge, so I started to read. At first, I thought I knew where the book was going, but then… ?! The unexpected! And this happened almost on every page I turned!
As J said, this book is the perfect mixture of every genre!
Maybe, if I wasn’t in a reading slump I would have given this book a five star!
It is now to announce the next book of our challenge!!!
And it will be a book that your sister loves and it will be…
“Before We Were Yours” by Lisa Wingate!!!
